After a hectic week we decided to pull the T@b out of storage and get away.  It was much needed for a lot of different reasons, but I can say it was two of the best days we’ve had in a long time.

Was a little nervous as to what kind of shape the T@b would be in after sitting on the farm for the entire winter and most of the spring.  I hooked it up last week and hauled it to the house after getting rid of a wasps nest in the propane tank bin and discovering a HUGE old wasps nest in the AC/Heat vent.  Three words—FREAKED-ME-OUT.  Big time.  I couldn’t even deal with using the hot shot at a distance, a friend of ours bravely got rid of the live nest with a broom and Karon knocked down the old nest in the AC vent by hand/screw driver.  The closest I got to it was to saturate it with a hose once we got it to the house.

Everything inside was in tact and undisturbed.  All appliances work just as they did last year.  We have taken one causality…our vent.  High winds at the farm ripped that little cover right off.  Luckily we didn’t lose it; it’s been taped and re-taped to make sure rain stays out.  But – we’ll have to drop some cash to get it either repaired or replaced.  While they are fixing that, will have rest of trailer checked over just to make sure we’re not missing anything.

We checked in Sunday afternoon once Karon was off work and checked out Tuesday morning.  Didn’t do much of anything.  Slept, ate, took a few pics in the park and chilled.  I sincerely wish we had more time to spend up there—we’ve been in dire need of a break for months now.  We saw another T@b while we were there – yellow one.  Didn’t get a chance to talk with owners or take a pic, maybe next time.

Until next time, happy traveling!
