Lake Jackson State Park, CO (Spring 2011)

So, can't believe I forgot to post on our latest trip.  What was I thinking!?  I even had it typed out while we were there.  Whoops!  At anyrate -- after a hard week of me flying down to Florida to dip my toes in the Atlantic and touring the Kennedy Space Center, came back to Colorado for a quick days work on Thursday and Friday and went camping.  On Good Friday we left around 3 pm and headed east to one of our favorite spots.

Second trip of the season, still hasn’t lost it’s fun factor – so I guess we’ll keep the T@b!  ;)  Ventured back to Jackson State Park for two night sleep over.

It’s still not quite “warm” in Colorado.  The first night the wind blew so hard Karon had dreams that the camper was going to blow over.  Alas…it’s still standing.  It did blow pretty hard last night.  Chance of snow tonight.  We would pick a weekend where it’s freezing cold.  But – still not complaining.

Haven’t had to hook up our newly bought space heater yet…I think the heat pump is close to not producing warm air as the temps have really dropped.  Still owe Brian big time for helping me figure all that out.  When the temps do drop – we’ll be nice and warm with our little heater.  So bring it!

Walked around a bit this morning.  Campground is isolated, so it’s nice to walk around and not have dogs coming at you from every angle.  Kayle got WORN out from running, chasing a stick, prancing around in the water – 4 years…and still all puppy.

Not sure when the next trip will be.  May seems to be filling up weekend by weekend.  But, wherever it is – we’re looking forward to it.  And hoping Miss Spring will join us for it.

On another note, prior to leaving for this trip -- Karon is starting to learn how to drive with the trailer hitched.  Hopefully this will allow the "other" driver some SLEEP when we travel.  Here's a shot of her solo trip.  ;)
